The study was focussed on analysis of the subject matter coverage and mode of presentation, direction of content and informal level of content of articles published in Rythuvaniu farm magazine during the year 2011-2012. All the 47 issues published in year for 2 years were considered as a sample of study. For trend analysis of content covered from 2 consecutive years from 2011-12 were considered. Out of total 240 articles published, majority (58.75 %) of them belong to Agricultural crops followed by horticultural crops (19.17 %), animal husbandry, dairy, Fisher’s livestock production technology & poultry (13.33%), Departmental schemes and programmes (5.00%) and post harvesting management (3.77 %).


1.    General analysis of Rythuvani farm magazine, extent of coverage of content over a period of 2 years.
2.    To analyse the trend of coverage of content in paddy cultivation in Rythuvani.
3.    Determine information level of nursery management in paddy.
4.    Determine the direction of content to find out whether information in evaluative or not.
